I really enjoyed doing the show this week. The show’s growing every week and it’s all because of you!

First we thanked this weeks sponsors. We had 6 people who were very generous and for that we placed them on the photo wall.

After that we had a tutorial by our good friend Tate Nations. He gave us a little lesson on skateboarding photography. Pretty much everything he mentioned could be applied to any type of action/sports photography. Good stuff!

Next we had a good lesson from Mav about Digital Black and White conversion. This lesson is a real eye opener to the mechanics of the Photoshop channel mixer. Also good stuff!
Mav also mentioned a good read from author Scott Kelby, “The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers”. To get more info please click on the link below.

Photo of the Week

Last week we mentioned that our photo of the week would be based on themes. This weeks them was “red”. Our winner for this week was flickr user named Ecky Ducky Loves Threadless. She will recieve a free 365 Days Button from our wonderful sponsors over at Buttonhead.org, the original makers of the 365 Days button. We’d like to thank those of you who participated as well as our sponsor.

Our next Photo of the Week theme will be “Black and White”. You can submit your photos here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/365days/discuss/72157603812707287/

Looks great, man! Hopefully some people can gain some knowledge for skateboarding photography from it. Look for more, I hope!

hi- just wonder if these will be posted in other (non-quicktime) formats? youtube or something?

    I can’t view them otherwise….thanks….

Sorry for not responding sooner. To stay compliant with iTunes (which is where most people subscribe to our podcast) we have to use quicktime. And because of our server costs, we can’t afford to post it in a variety of formats. YouTube only allows for 10 minute clips and our show is generally over 20 minutes. But we have considered putting our tutorials up on youTube. Maybe sometime soon.

This is a bit late of a reply, but Vimeo.com and Revver.com allow longer videos than YouTube. Vimeo I know is unlimited length; I’m not sure if Revver limits length, but with Revver you can make money off of viewers’ ad clicks at the end of videos.

Vimeo gives you 500MB of upload space per week, so if you just uploaded the podcast you’d be fine. (Revver limits you to 100MB per video… go compression, I guess.)

Also… you got my last name much better than most people. Ten points! :D
